Do any of you have any experience removing the ATU in order to put a new one on?

for some reason mine is just not coming off AT ALL!

hit the ring nut carefully with an appropriately shaped screwdriver a couple of times ccw and then spin it off the rest by hand. pull the atu away from the motor as you do or the nut will bind. Assembly is reverse of removal

hit the screwdriver with a rubber mallet, i meant to say as well,. and use the same method to tighten it back up.

it was a tough one to get off.

I ended up putting some transmission fluid around the nut and letting it sit on there..

That stuff works incredibly
