Hey Gang, I love the early motorcycles, they are like works of art. I always wanted a boardtracker just to look at but that aint gonna happen $$$ so I'm building my own. I found this one day while looking for pictures and thought maybe some of you would like this vid from youtube www.youtube.com/watch?v=QPZY-MUx8qk it is footage of board track racing from 20's and sidecar racing too Very Happy The speeds at which they raced where CRAZY!!! Many died and the sport died with them. p.s. Early bikes, like I said "work of art"

The last part says the top speed was 212/km/hr = 131 mph. Man that's fast for back then. Almost no safety equipment including no brakes. A cool article I found.

No clutch either! Just a throttle and a killswitch. Here's a couple of links, the second is a build blog...

I agree those early bikes are works of art. I would love to witness the Pioneer Run in the UK some year... all bikes are pre 1915!

Hi Jeff, great links! I've been watching that guys cylone build for over a year, very talented guy. Here is another talented guys replica... www.youtube.com/watch?v=32VQQhIv4Lc this picture is my progress so far, frame done (donor for rear and neck is "worksman bicycle") and wheels are clincher type with 11ga spoke's. Going to try my first complete tank build but not much skill needed for flat panels or round tube tanks Laughing
