I'm looking for some saddlebags that will fit my 78SE. Perhaps someone can tell me what size fits best? What brand do you like? Has anyone used the Jafrum brand?

Depends of what type you like? Leather? Plastic?

In case of leather: Did you ever had a look at Harley´s saddle bags? I hate to name it, and they are hell of expensive, but good quality (in many aspects), and nowadays you have a big variety of designs.

Hard bags you leave them on or deal with bracketing.
Leather requires too much care for me. The fold over flap type, water will blow in. And they're hard on the sidepanels.
imo PVC or vinyl bags, pleather the stiching is usually crap.
The slanted type aren't good for portfolio's or file folders. Something to consider if your using the bike to hunt jobs.
The thin bags (4") are great for sweatshirts, rain suits, small tool bags, etc but not much else.
I have a couple pair of Chase Harpers I like. 1 pr. small thin (like described above) and a 2nd pair like these that I can pack for a weeks outing. cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotor...ccessories
