I have a '79 XS650 with a stripped header stud. Mike's XS sell replacements but how do I remove the old studs? Thanks in advance for your help.

Spray with CRC 5-55 first, overnight is best, then spray in the morning and again when your ready to go. These can be tight!
Use a quality stud remover is best.
You can use 2 nuts done up tight against each other (if you have enough available thread), then undo the rear nut it will undo the stud, if I'm using this technique I leave my longest ring spanner on the back side so I can use it for the stud removal.
Enjoy!
