Hey guys, I have emailed MikesXS a couple times with questions about the Pamco kit for my XS and have not heard anything. Usually they are quick but I have not heard anything. You think there is any reason for this?

I was going to order the Pamco Ignition kit from MikesXS, Part #14-0912

However, last year I ordered and installed the following:

1 x High Output Replacement Ignition Coil (17-6803)
1 x Spark Plug High Tension Wires (23-2902)
2 x NGK Resistor Spark Plug Cap (5K Ohms) (23-3113)

I was going to ask Mikes which of the 3 ways I should go: (1) should buy the entire kit, (2) could I remove the items that I already have from the kit and charge me accordingly, or (3) just buy the pieces that I need individually.

phatdawg,

Well, the 14-0912 kit includes the "Green Monster" coil, #17-6810 and not the 17-6803 that you already have. If you want the 17-6810 coil and you need the other advance parts, then you should buy the 14-0912 kit.

If you want to use a 17-6803 coil, then you are still better off buying the 14-0902 kit, which includes a 17-6822 coil, rather than the individual parts because for the same money you will end up with a spare coil.

I do not think that mike will split the kit for the cost of the 17-6803 coil, wires and caps.

Either kit is more than $150 so you will also get free shipping.

Just ordered the kit. Hope I get a nice bright spark after installation.

I have an 82. What kit should I get ?
For easy convenient modding, the previous owner lost the ignitor box along with a bunch of other parts.
Thanks.
Srinath.
