Well i got the bike about two weeks ago .. im tearing it all down and i did notice the day i got it the wheel wasnt centered on the bars. Im not completely motorcycle savy yet so i dont know if this can be easily adjusted or not .. if its going to be better off ill just buy a used front assembly. If anyone can help me with some advice id greatly appreciate it. The tubes dont look bent it seems like the top and bottom of the tree are possibly off center.. sound right?

Luke

that's a big damn pic Laughing it looks like your missing the collar that goes on the right side on the pic or maybe more. look at the page here and check your assembly
page 109 in the Haynes manual if you have one if not........

When I took mine apart the handle bar mounts that go down thu the dampers , one was bent. You definitely have something off but what I'm not sure.

Luke4554,

Could also be warped triple trees. You have to remove them and clamp them to a flat surface to see the warpage:

And you need to reduce the size of your pics. They are wiping out the whole screen.

sorry guys .. lol im so used to the way the browser at work automatically reduces any image i forget about people with slower connections!! my fault!

I suppose ill have to tear them apart and see.. what ever it is its annoying to ride like that haha.

Are full fork assemblys hard to find? or is would i be better off building a new set with replacement parts?

From what I see it looks like your fork tubes are bent.
I had an 81 Suzuki TS125 that I hit a car that made a left turn in front of me with.
I took the forks to a shop that tore them down to check the tubes for being bent. When I got them back, they were supposed to be straight. They looked like yours. I loosened the tree clamp bolts and turned the tubes in the trees till the tire pointed straight ahead.
Not the best way to do things. It was just a 125 and top speed was about 60 mph, so I wasn't to worried about it.
I would tear the forks down and check the tubes for straightness and check the trees too.
Front forks and trees show up on ebay most of the time.
