I applaud your enthusiasm but Why not just take what's already been proven and engineered by professionals and go from there. You could buy a used banshee flywheel on ebay gut it and try to improve th ... |

Wow that's a new one,My bet is the countershaft nut came off, got any pics of the inside of the cover? I would get on that motor with some engine cleaner and inspect it really good,check for cracks ha ... |

$60 bucks I dunno man that sounds real cheap to me,even for a very mild port(just removing casting flaws and polishing to a mirror finish) it takes me at least 2 or 3 hours add a bead blast and valve ... |

I think they ran out out of the one coil and are just replacing with other one,I believe the only difference is a an ohm or to which shouldn't be a problem. |

Start with the motor first,if it doesn't perform well your not gonna like it no matter what it looks like and there's nothing worse than to get a bike finished then have the charging system die out on ... |

With the silver ones your eye is drawn directly to those and the engine case,you want the eye to travel around the bike,how about making the silver one like some sort of checkered flag design. |

You have to remove the protector when using an 18 tooth up front which can be a pain with those stator wires running through that area |

I read in that 650 performance manual that too much compression on the xs motor can actually hurt both performance and obviously reliability. I don't know if the performance part is actually true but ... |
