To actually answer your original question, yes, I think a scrambler exhaust & block tires, along w/ taller scrambler-style bars, would look very handsome on that vintage machine.

What shocks are you using? They look like Rebel shocks, but it seems like there's too many coils. If not Rebel shocks, can you also say how long are they are?

It's possible your bushings were not machined to the correct diameter-- what make are they? I wonder if anyone else has encountered this.
