Thanks retired. I have a 1980 XS650 SG. Yes it does have the glass fuses, so I will check them. I assume that you just bypass the original fuse box by cutting the wires and connecting with the inli ... |

Thanks for the followup posts and cleaning hints, ill use steel wool and then di-electric grease all of the connections. Mine is about as stock as stock can get to include an almost 30 year old front ... |

Retired and Weekend those are great comments. So today I pulled the headlight unplugged all the connectors hit 'em with some compressed air and when I started the bike low and behold the light worked ... |

I have the Clymer and a aftermarket tech tip called the joy of six written by a 650 club in missouri. It is pretty good and thanks to blubikerblan I now have a shop manual. |
