built in 6 nights by 2 guys
Hey, I know it's not a 650--I don't have one--YET! This is my first attempt at a custom bike--it's an XT 500 engine in a frame that me and a friend built from scratch. The rest of it is miscellaneous Japanese parts I had laying around the shop--Honda CL 250 front end, Suzuki TS 250 gas tank, etc. Suicide clutch and jockey shifter with a tiny Honda piston for a shift knob. It was a blast to build and is fun to ride, even on the rough roads of Papua New Guinea, where we built it.

xs650 or not who cares you did a nice job and it looks cool as hell, like the moto x bars

I second that. But then again, I'm biased...

Nice job. did you run the oil in the frame or is that a tank under the seat?
Jungle_Biker [October 23, 2006 @ 12:08 AM]
I built the oil tank out of a real small freon tank--that's it under the seat.

hey cscarroll--didn't notice you at first. Forget your cafe project, let's build your 650 into a bobber! Just kidding.

I did something similar years ago with a Suzuki 400, I bet that thing likes to wheelie!!
