My buddy, just received an order from xs650direct.com. He ordered 2 of the same Pamco ignition kits, but 2 of them had different coils. Anyone know why this is? Or was it a mistake on their part.... heres a pic

The coil on the left is a 17-6822 with a primary resistance of 4.5 Ohms. The coil on the right is a 17-6803 with a primary resistance of 2.8 Ohms.

Either coil will work fine with the PAMCO but the 6822 runs a little cooler. Both coils should be mounted firmly to the frame for heat dissipation. Either coil could be shipped depending on availability in stock.

The 17-6803 produces a higher voltage than the 17-6822, but the spark duration of the 6822 is longer, so performance wise, they are comparable.
