My 82 motor had a spot where the kick starter mechanism going just behind the hole where it seems to have some chunks of it that look gouged and galled.
Also there is a drilled spot where it may have had a pin installed.
Is there a pin there, and what does a few gashes in the case by that thing mean.
The 78 motor I am putting in also doesn't have a pin, and that part isn;t great but not ripped up like that 82.

Yea tonight. Maybe tommorow AM. It was dark when I opened it at my mechanics shop, it was dark when I loaded in my truck.
I will pull a pic when there is daylight and put it on.
