Hi Ive scanned through 49 pages and i dont think i have found what i am looking for. I have a 78 Special with Points, and a regulator and rectifier. i was wondering if someone can draw me up a wiring diagram.

Stripped down.

Headlight
Headlight Dimmer
Tail/brake
Front/Rear Brake switch
Starter Button
Key
Regulator
Rectifier
Pamco Electronic Ignition
Alternator

Im going to get a speedometer from Mikes with the indicator lights also. Will only hook up the neutral and high beam light.

Also, what to do with the Safety Relay, Light checker, reserve lighting and all that? I do have a regular wiring diagram but hard for me to decipher and eliminate wires.

Please anyone help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey pamcopete,

Is there a way to run a non points based ignition on a rephased motor ?

Now if not, is there a way to run a points based ignition in the motor though a 82 wiring harness - significantly the 1 ignition coil design. I mean I can add another coil, I dont mind that, but the wiring harness wont let me unless of course I can mod that too.

I am going to try to search, but not sure what I should search for.

Cool.

I am thinking I'll mangle a seca ignitor box in with some extra wiring for the second ignitor ... but let me check, the TCI doesn't do anything in the charging system right ? I am not planning to cut into that yet.
Cool.
