Jack, in the first photo there is some type of arm running down the side, from the frame to the block whaqt is that?

That bike is beautiful. I love that paint job. I'm new to bikes, but I fell in love with the 1976 R90 as soon as I saw a picture of it.
Will that specific fairing (or one made without the signal lights) fit an XS650?

You might be able to adapt the fairing over but you would need to fabricate mounting points to the triple trees and the turn signal brackets on the BMW support the lower section of the fairing. Also you might need to replace the head light bucket assembly with a BMW unit and as with anything it's a trial and error process,like me trying to stick the XS in a FZR chassis This is not a cheap fairing nor is it small in comparrison to what's available through other suppliers...................Jack
