Hi everyone,

im new but been on here many times reading tech info and I must say theres some smart guys on here.

So im working on a 1976 xs650 (single disc) that needs a complete brake system overhall. It sat in a barn for 15 years and everything is siezed rock solid. The front disk also needs respun.

So my question is where do I want to go and where to start?

I would like to use a completely different disc something different than stock (keeping it a single disc system) and because its a chopper I would like the master cylinder to visually suite the build. so where should I start?

I read somewhere that most Yamahas disc will fit the 650 and all I would have to do is custom mount the caliper. Is this true?

Any suggestions please?
