OK, my rear tire is bald... like, yeah... bald. It's a 120/90-18. Will a 130/90-18 fit in the stock swingarm? I've got maybe 3/8" clearance on each side... anybody know?

a 130 will rub unless it's set at the back of the adjustment slot and you may have trouble with brake stay rubbing also, stick with the stock 110 or the 120 if you must have a larger tire

Nah, not a must... just curious because there seem to be so many more options in a 130. oh well. Thanks for the info!

I use to run a 130/90 16 on my old stuff (mag wheels on a 78) and never rubbed anywhere. Maybe the bigger rim makes it closer to the typical rub spots. Don't know much about the stock setup though.

The 18 inch rim moves the tire an inch farther forward in the swing arm than the 16 inch rim. The swing arm is narrower the farther forward you go.
That's why the 130/90-16 fits in the same swing arm as the 110/90-18. If you tried a 21 inch rim a 90 might be as wide as you could go.
