There is a site that tees you how to ID your engine
I'm doing the valve adjust & The manuals give specs according to tx650
xs650 c etc
I have an 81 & I cant find any correlation to these types
typesAny guidance would help

I use .004" for intake and .006" for exhaust on my 78SE. Those numbers will work fine on the 81 as well.

81 will be either an H model, a standard. Or the SH model, a special.

the specs call for .15mm on all exhausts,R.G., are you in english" or metric ?

Ok, the manual suggests (as do many others) the valves be set at 0.1mm (0.0039") inlet & 0.15mm (0.0059") exhaust. For what we're doing here, there's no practical difference in 0.0001", so the standard 0.004" & 0.006" is just fine!

For those that want to know, 1mm = 0.0397" (or in rough terms 0.040")

0.001" = 0.0254mm (roughly 0.025mm)
