Welcome Kedro. I just hope that Iowa dudes are not planning on buying up all of the XS650's.................leave some for us canadians.
Oh yeah, I think there is a state law that says your bike must be painted bright yellow .............very safety oriented down there.

I've got a special tank just sitting in the shed if you want one of those ... let's talk.... leave some for for the Canadians. I don't think so, bunch of low geared hill runners....multiphasic purple/red/blue/orange deal ... nothing wrong with that......

Saw the pic. That isn't a motorcycle: it's a butt bucket with a pair of wheels on the bottom. Jeebers! That seat looks like it came off of a -- I dunno! Something real f*ckin' BIG.
jimmythetrucker here. I live in Troy Mills. You're welcome to come to our annual picnic lunch next spring. Ask jayel how to find the eats.
Welcome to the show Kedro.

Kedro I have a tank that I would be willing to trade for that tank of yours.
If your close to Council Bluffs it would be easier but I get around the state alot.

rnjstr: Bwah haha jester you found me again!
jimmythetrucker: ^_^ yeah from what ive been able to find out of the JP catalog its some sort of touring seat, its nice an cushy, but boy dus it squeeze ya up to that massive harley tank
lerch124: Kewl, should know though the tank has a softball sized sent on its right from when the PO dropped it, and 2 smaller dents on the front as it really doesnt fit the lil 650 the... noob to bikes moment here... handle deal that you steer with that connect to the 2 metaly things with the holes that i "think" are called a triple something or other that hold the handles and front stick deals together, have those bolts that come out the back and ding into it pretty good as well on either side of the handlebars.
Noob moment averted, no one saw that right? Needless to say my girlfriend found me yet another addiction to spend countless hours and dollers on that i have no idea what im actually doing.
And for viewing pleasure below are the 2nd 650 i just picked up last week, a pic of my lady's bike, and the one im picking up today. -_- addictions i tell ya addictions, 4 bikes in under 30 days -_-

Yeah then seats ain't nothing new. I think the manufacturers used to call 'em a king-and-queen touring seat. Back in the day, we all just called 'em "butt buckets." I can't think of a better name unless, maybe, it's a "bike weight," which is like a paper-weight: it's big enough and heavy enough to keep your motorcycle from getting scattered all over the parking lot by a breeze. If you got one o' them seats on your bike and a tornado comes along, you can shelter under your motorcycle.
