Well, it happened again. I lost my left side cover, as my left pod filter apparently vibrated loose, coming off and taking the side cover with it. I've replace the air filter, but have no side cover. To be fair, the original side covers weren't in the best shape, and partially held together with Gorilla glue, etc Very Happy So now I'm looking to fabricate in some fashion some metal side covers I could paint to match, and have them attach in some fashion to the frame instead of the way the originals fitted. Anyone have any ideas/suggestions? I'd love to make the bike into a bobber someday, but that day isn't right now unfortunately, so it's mostly original. And I'd rather not spend the money @ MikesXS (no offense Mike) for a set....

True, but I'd like to see if someone has fabricated something (relatively simply) that attaches differently than the originals, and can stay in place better, at a lower cost. I've watched some of the eBay auctions, and the cost for side covers can reach what MikeXS charges new.....
