what is everyone using? should I weld it on or does the axle one mount up pretty solid with out drifting up and down?

I made my own and I used the axle to mount it and no it didn't drift up and down. The light I used was a 3" or 4" whatever they are trailer light it is round and that has a running light brake light and liscensce plate light and it's only 5-8 bux..
