One petcock leaks pretty bad, the other is fine. My bike is a 79, so Im guessing its a vacuum style. After reading about the hit or miss when it comes to rebuilding them, I think Im going to just replace it. Can I run a manual one on the left, and the original vacuum style on the right?

Thanks

You probably could if you tie the two vacuum lines together. I'd worry about Sync issues if you cap only one side.

I'm solving a similar issue by converting to a single petcock.

That was my other idea. Just close one petcock and retube it from one side.
