Hey guys,
I have posted before regarding my issue with the back brakes (i.e. they lose "pressure" in about a mile) I have bled them multiple times and they dont seem to ever get very "strong". I ordered a rebuild kit for the rear master cylinder and am waiting on it to come. In the mean time I wanted to find out if there are any other points of failure I can look into. Is there anything that could be causing the problem in the piece that the rod connected to the brake lever pushes into? Really want to have back brakes again!

Thanks!

You really want to make sure to bleed them well, it sure sounds like air in the system. As long as you're rebuilding the master cylinder, why dont you rebuild the caliper and at the very least put new washers at each joint of brake hoses. It cost me a little more but I did replace the hoses, I figured 30 plus years was enough for them!

Good luck!
