So, I would like to hook up my electric starter, just would be nice if I kill it somewhere not to have to kick it. I tried wiring it up but it doesnt seem to be getting enough power to turn over the engine. I wired directly from the batt to the starter to just try it out and it cant push it. Do I need to be trying something different? Does the power have to come from the coil or should hardwiring (temporarily just to test) directly from the batt turn it over. I also tried jumping it by putting power from a car directly to the starter just to test it, and it fired up so I know the starter is working.

Thanks for the help.

Might just be your battery?
Hotwire should turn it over if there's nothing else wrong!

Cool, that was my next step to try.

Thanks
