i tore the entire bike down and i am beginning to clean the parts one by one.
How do i remove the spring from the rear shocks for cleaning? I looked at my manual but all it gives is a diagram that isnt to much help.
Any ideas?

Hi
I made this very simple spring Compressor the wheel jack compressors the spring so you can remove the slip in clip at the top then wing wheel jack out & all comes apart

Nice one wally!!
You could build your own or buy a spring compressor.
Denniskirk.com sells them for around $70 I believe.

yes a couple of hold down straps would be in order, you load that spring up and it comes flying out of there it could go thru a wall
