Can anyone tell me of a longer factrory swingarm that will fit the xs? I heard a pe 1979 will fit . Thoughts. I think it would better than welding one up.

TX 750 bolts straight in apparantly and is a bit longer.
I'd actualy prefer a shorter one, I think the XS1 was the shortest of all, then they got longer a couple of times I think, anyone know which/when?

My XS1 and TX650 are both the same length, my 76 and 79 XS650s are 1" longer. My TX750 swingarm is the same length as the 76 and 79 but larger diameter. I believe the change in length came in 74 at the same time as the frame was changed. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I just bought a 1978 suz pe250 swingarm
The length is 4 in longer and width at pivot is 5/8" narrower than stock. So ill make a couple shims. Dia of the bolts I have not checked but Ill make bushings if necessary.
$65 buck delivered Has shock mounts which may or may not be moved but its STEEL and stiff as s*** so NO hassle making changes.
WAY cheaper and less work than getting a custom one or making one.
I am making a chopper/bobber and dont want a hardtail as my back cant take it and the roads I ride on are not great.
Hope this helps others who want a easy stretch.

Longer than xs650 stock arm. Actually 4 or 5 inches longer depending on year. It is narrower at pivot so shims will be required. I have yet to mount it but other than bolt dia I see no probs that a bolt or bushing mod wont fix.
