petrol tap question for you guys, just bought a tank which i think is mid -late seventies with no petrol taps, one side is blanked off which is fine. Took my tap off my old tank which is an 80 and guess what it didnt fit slightly too big. Ive enclosed a pic so can you tell me what year this tank is. cheers boys n gals tweedy

Not sure by that paint job, we didn't get that style of graphics in the states. I would measure the hole spacing for the petcock mount. '78 and newer vacuum petcocks were wider, about 46mm I think, than the '77 and older manual ones. Not sure what the older ones measured. Maybe you could e-mail Mike's with your measurement and he could tell you if the old style manual version would fit.

Thanks 5twins , i thought myself it was a 77. 650 central ( sorry mike ) do a tap which is 43mm which would sound about right i guess mike does it too but didnt state size. cheers tweedy
