just got me a set of gpz500 carbs for the xs,question is ive been told to put 126 mains in them? fine i thinks then when i take the jets out the carbs there 130s exactly the same as whats in the standard xs carbs,so whats the reason behind puttin smaller mains in

All carbs are different, the way they draw fuel and the vacuum they create to draw the fuel in the venturi, and the way that the fuel is atomized. it is common to have to run a different size jet when installing a different set of carbs. let me know how those gpz crbs work out i am a curious sort

popped the 126 jets in an the xs purrs like a dream,no flat spots through the range better performance all round,lets hear it for modern carbs

Those were gpz500 carbs or gpz550, or ex500 carbs?

gpz 500 ex500 twin carbs,with all the air an breather pipes removed
