Hi-
I have a Yamaha xs650 that I am restoring, so I have lots of questions to post. It's in really good shape though, and have done a bunch to it already. Will post a pic of it soon. 46K miles. Original paint job except on side panels. Mostly original/refurbished parts except upgraded brakes. I'm glad to have found this site! I have some great mechanics but I like to do things myself too.

welcome, half the fun of this whole deal is wrenching on these babies. I'm pretty new to the scene and have been wrenching on my 81' and 75' since the start. A manual and these fine gents will make all the work worthwhile.

Cool. I have the Clymer and the Haynes manuals, an old parts manual too, but still looking for a shop manual for that year. Been on a lot of the 650 sites, (how I found this place) but no one has it that I can find. If anyone knows of one... I plan to make this bike as stock as possible and take it to some historic meets. It runs great - I go all over MD and PA. Over this winter I am having a garage built so then I will have a good space for learning more serious wrenching than cleaning up the electrical and changing the oil.

You can find the '76 Service Manual but its a little cashy. This is the manual you speak of, correct??:

Wow! Yes it is a little pricey but I'm glad to find one that is not just a bad photocopy and scan. Thanks for the tip on the site.
