I'm toying with the idea of extending the swingarm on my bobber and mounting a flat fender to it instead of having the fender on the frame. Anybody do this? Any help, thoughts, pics etc would be a help

I am in the middle of a bobber project. I have mounted the front fender to the rear swing arm. I welded on some struts in the back and cut on of the original mounts and welded underneath the swing arm and the fender bolts on there. I hope to have it partially assembled this weekend and can send some pics if you want.

How are your shocks mounted to the swing arm? They look further back then normal.
Nice looking bobber.

the rear shocks are mounted to a pair of lowering blocks, which sets
the shock mount back about 2 inches

That is what I thought. I just bought a parts bike that has a set of those on there. I was thinking about putting them on my project bike.

isnt there something about not being able to use lowering blocks if you have a rear disc brake? I'd like to use them on mine but dont think I can.

Will the shock hit the disk or caliper?
