Oil????

Getting ready to do the last oil change for the year and was thinking about putting a full synthetic oil in, in place of the Yamaha brand oil I have been using? Any comments? Suggestions? Also, what weight if I do. Have been running 20-50 and seems to be working well especially on the hot days, but the weather is getting colder now. I have a couple of long charity rides in the next few weeks, and I just wanted to make sure I was not going to be commiting suicide by switching oils. You never know with these tempermental old machines..... Laughing

Stick to 20/50 mineral oil (or 15/50 for cold weather) & change every 1000 miles or so.. theres no advantage using expensive synthetic stuff on old big-bearing technology like an XS especially if you're changing this regularily ..mine dont wear out even using £7 non-branded 20/50 (though I do prefer Duckhams)
