I'm working on the install of Omar's Half Mile pipes. The inner/left pipe comes up against the starter mount. I'm using the inserts. Has anyone sucessfully notched the pipe down to the insert, to clear the starter mount. Or am I in a "loose the starter" situation?

Answering my own questions. I'm going to file the starter boss to reduce the thickness, counter sink the boss for a tapered head cap screw.

Filing the starter boss and using the taper cap head screw gave me 85% of the clearance I needed. Final fitting requied adjusting the pipe with a body shop dollie. Pipes are off to Jet Hot for coating.
