use a small flat screwdriver to pry up (de-coining) the bottom of the ring holding the glass in, easy to do just be patience work your way all the way around and you may need a larger screw driver after you get it started, it will pop out with a little help you don't have to get the ring totally loose, a little blue loctite on BOTH screws then put it back together by crimping (coining) the edge back down with pliers in small sections until it's tight

I just finished my Veglia style tach rebuild saturday night. Thought some of you would like to see it. I used a stainless exhaust clamp to hold the components together. I'll probably cut most of the excess clamp bolt off.

I took care of the Tach but now want to open the Speedometer to replace the face plate. Does anyone know how the odometer knob comes off?

Thanks,
Slim

p.s. My Tach screws were in place but the glass was foggy. 45K miles.

Reverse I think. Turn in the direction opposite of when you are resetting it. See this from when I was repairing it.
