I think i just dulled th finish of my stock muffeler w scotch pad (gree) any help, im on my way out i'll post more detail later.

Try using a cloth and some chrome polish, it may take out some of the scratches.

YOU CAN TRY "METAL WAX" I GET IT AT THE LOCAL AUTO PAINT SUPPLY STORE. I CAN POST A PICTURE OF THE BOTTLE IF YOU NEED IT I USE IT WITH A SOFT CLOTH GOOD TO GO GETS GREAT FINISH WITH A LASTING WAX TO PROTECT.

Did you mean the green plastic pad?
Solvol Autosol will polish that damage out...

Ya green plastic i cant even beleive it did that, I was cleaning some splaterd burnt on stuff on left muffeler and in few seconds of scrubbing the finish is notcibly duller. I've cleand burnt boot marks off right meffeler with a brass brush and it didnt even do that.

if its a green pad on chrome it will be very hard to pollish back up. try useing a gray scotch pad whitch is very fine and give it a dam good polish with a metal polish this may help a bit Crying or Very sad
