Hello-
I cleaned my carbs and found a stuck slider... I fixed that and it is running less rough... The one problem that persists is the engine dies once the choke if fully pushed in....It never did this before...
Would a torn carb boot cause this?
Thanks,
Judo

Heya Judo,
To check your carb boots, spray a bit of carb cleaner around the boot while the bike is idling - if it changes the idle, you have an air leak... If you have an air leak - you probably will be really lean, which could cause your symptoms.
If you need help troubleshooting, give me a call and we can take a look this weekend if you want.

Thanks for the tip Xumi....
Sometimes the anger of fixing problems to find others can get perplexing...
I'll be out of town this weekend, but I have a pretty open calender the rest of the summer... I'll have my street tracker done by then as well, so we'll have to tear up the penninsula..

I hear that! - I'm open most weekends this summer myself. Let me know when you get back from your trip this weekend.. if you haven't solved it, we'll see if we can't get it sorted out.

I tighted the old boots and got the bike to idle with no choke...
Wooo Hooo!!!
I'll still install the new ones I ordered to be sure...
THanks for the info,
Judo
