Here's a link explaining my basic procedures in reworking the guide and the guide boss area's. It's really straight forward as far as porting the port but the roof does have a few sensitive spots that require alittle more attention in detail to extract the littlest gains in CFMs and velocity........Jack

Jack,

Nice discussion on head work! Your work looked too pretty for me to butcher as a copycat. Do you port for others? If so, what are the options and pricing?

I'm building an XS roadracer for the old fart class. It'll start out at original bore, but as I progress, I'll take it up to 750cc. I plan on a hotter cam, pipes, and 34mm round slide mikunis.

I'm moving slow since I work in Saudi Arabia right now and the bike is home in Houston. Vacations are busy in the garage. I'll need to do head work next summer, but want to start my planning now to best schedule my vacation work time.
