hey there, i nee thoughts and opinions...
so i was going to do an oil change on my bike, but the only motorcycle shop open today doesnt have yamalube. does it matter what brand you use as long as its the correct weight? what do the rest of you guys use for your oil?
also i was going to buy an oil filter but the barts dude told me that the filter is one you can clean out and reuse. it that true or should i just spend the money and buy a new one?

best to stay away from synthetics...can clean and reuse the sump filter if its not ripped...the side filter will need replacing

Both are brass screen filters and reusable if in good condition.
You might consider the epoxy fix (sump filter) while you have it out. If it isn't torn it is a matter of time.
