My right hand goes numb after only a short time riding. It's very annoying.

While it's numb, give your old fella a stroke & it will feel like someone else is doing it!

Its mostly caused by vibration. Playing with the handlebars rubber mounts (tightening or loosening) can usually bring the vibration down to a different frequency that is more acceptable to you. There a are also bar end weights that reportedly dampen the vibration as well.

Hand position is another way to make the hands go numb pretty quick. On my last build i had a set of drag bars, the position was just so that it would hit a nerve in my palm that would put my hand to sleep. rotating the bars in the clamps a hair put an end to that.

Heres a ling to some good info... Numb hands

...bar end weights
...fill bars with lead
...rephase
...try johns low comp mod
...had a mate lose a hand once-replaced with a hook, he still rides and doesnt at all suffer from this
...could try those ergo grips i use on my downhill cycles

- no wonder they put perth so far from normal people:mrgreen:

40 yrs of hard physical work with my hands , several years of riding dirt, 42 yrs of riding bikes in genral, mine are shot. I close a fist & they crunch , I cant use hand switchs on a bike so ive got a foot mount horn button, and toggles for lights, and about anything to make a trottle twist less distance and easier. Ive used "Okeefs working hands" you can probably find on line, the stuff works decent, bout any other cream for hand fatiuge is a joke.

Yeah.........about the hand fatigue........found smaller grips (closer to the bar and not puffy) help....especially with gloves....like a tennis racket with to big of a handle dicks your hand before the first set ends..........here is a way to get a quick throttle for nothing..........have to heat the part.......then bend the cable angle to match the new radius...........

No not that one .......the lower one............ Laughing

I have heard more experienced members say to check your engine mounting bolts and be sure the mounting bracket on top is securely tightened.
