| I have just purchased a 78 XS650 special. I would like to use a bigger (18") wheel off of a 78 SR500. They look the same both with rear disk but I'm not sure if it will fit? If anyone knows please help me out?

never done it but read somewhere you need to use 650 wheel bearings and axle, and spacers.

also the sx500 wheel uses a cush sprocket drive about 44 tooth with stock sprocket, which will seriously low gear your 650 so you will need to work out a sprocket setup too, I think it's the XS500 wheel you want, several old posts about this just do a search for sr500, xs500 to read them
