How do you get the starter out ... I still have the motor in the frame and am hoping to get it out without moving it ... does it come out if we can get a wrench on the left rear bolt, I pulled the other 3 ... that one is all that's left.
The problem I have seems to be that while I can get the box end of a 12mm wrench on that bolt with the open end towards the sprocket, it cannot be turned cos the thing is hitting the case. Now I can get it on the other side like from underneath but it seems to hit the starter body.
I am thinking of buying myself the ratcheting box end style wrenches and going for it tommorow ... The fact that the 12 points of the 12 point wrench are in the same relative location with respect to the shaft are the problem, and a rotating box end will take care of that problem. The other way I can think of getting it opened is with a offset box end, not just an angled box end.
Any one have other thoughts.
Cool.
Srinath.
