I hope everyone has a good holiday. Lots of family and good food. And football of course.
I live in a 50 yr old neighborhood and behind me is a 1/2 mile thick band of woods that follows a creek. We have deer, red foxes, large hoot owls (very noisy) possums, raccoons and a recently a neighbor reported seeing a bobcat eating out of my next door neighbors dogs food dish. In the last year or so turkeys have begun to come into my neighbors yards. Mine is fenced and I have two terriers.Yesterday as I rode into the cul-de-sac three houses away there were 10 hens walking in a front yard. Lately as I go to the station or a side job I see this guy a block or so away just walking around like he owns the place. Not a bit afraid. Shot this with my phone out the passenger side window.

Happy holidays everyone! Lots of wildlife there pumps. A few days back I went out back of my house about 6 am and I could hear coyotes, ended up being 5 of them approx. 1/2 mile out in a field from me, I have 2 1/2 acres that is fortunately fenced as my dog(german shepard) thought he could take them. We've also had a couple bears show up in the neighberhood, but fortunately it's rare!

I laugh because my turkey huntin' buddies always talk about how hard they are to get close enough to get a shot at. Wear all that camo stuff, maybe they ought to wear a minivan!.

Happy Thanksgiving, Guys.

I roasted the first of two birds yesterday for a "Pre-Holiday" party involving two turkeys, two hams, four kinds of stuffing, and a wee drap of the Crayture in the form of some good whiskey. Great party, and the real holiday has yet to appear! Very Happy

And since it wasn't at my house, I didn't have to clean up! (Happy Days!!)

I make the world's best stuffing, involving two lbs of spicy sausage, celery, onion, red bell peppers, sage, all sorts of fresh spices, two loaves of French bread, toasted, two sticks of butter....it's pretty rich and pretty good, if I do say so myself! I'll have about 8 people here for the actual holiday, so I'd better start cleaning right now! Rolling Eyes

I hope everyone has family and food for the holiday---and some antacid for the next morning.... Laughing
