I'd like to put an 18" wheel on the front of my bike. Can I just get an 18" rear wheel and lace it up to the stock front hub? I'm clueless about spoked wheels.....

Yes. I believe you may lace the rear rim to the front hub. I intend to do the same. I don't believe I'm going to tackle it myself after reading others' frustrations, although it could prove rewarding. Sending the hubs off to Buchanan's or the like could prove money well spent.

Yes you can, use spokes for an XS 360. You'll have to use a drill to "adjust" the angle of the spoke holes slightly, but no big deal. Be careful when you dish the wheel when you relace it and you will be good to go. I suggest taking picture of the wheel BEFORE you take the old spokes out, so you can refer back to it should you get confused about the pattern. It's about a 4 beer job, then you have a new wheel ready to go.

Ok, that's great news. Are there any issues fitting the brake with the wider wheel? Is it possible to fit dual disks on the bike with this wheel?
Dwyatt, I'm assuming this is the setup you have on the yellow bike from your avatar....how does this setup handle? Also, how do you like those v-stacks?
