Do fork gaiters just slide up the fork?
Or do the forks have to be taken apart?

You have to remove the fork tubes from the triple tree. Remove the stock dust cover and the gaiter goes on like this. Gotta stretch the heck outta it . Oh and be sure to poke a small hole at the lower back to act as a vent.


You're supposed to put clamps on the top. I just haven't yet. I measured the inside diameter of the gaiters and at the auto parts store got some radiator hose with that O.D. to sort of use as a spacer around the upper fork tube.

Thanks. A before..one has the yellowed clear coat removed. That stuff is thick.
