Curious.. im running straight exhaust no mufflers right now that dumps under the mid-controls. Its loud.. which i dont really mind that much but it does snap crackle and pop like rice crispies. I will be redoing the exhaust over the winter and was contemplating running them both on the right side of the bike.. staggered and on top of each other like some ive seen on here. Im building the bike as a hardtail but im going to have a WWII medic theme to it and was thinking at first of rifling the last 5 in or so on the exhaust at first just for looks then i started wondering if maybe it would baffle any of the sound and crackle as well? .. I was also thinking of putting a small diameter tube centered in the tips as well. I know im not the only person whos thought of this so i figured i would ask the experienced builders if this has worked or failed and if i should waste my time drilling 30-40 time consuming holes in each pipe for nothing..!

Thanks for the help guys.. just got this bike and im already ready to tear it down!
