Hi just had a few questions on welding a frame. Wondering what th ebest method would be. i want to lower the seat of my xs650 and thought an Oxyacetylene torch would suffice. anyone got any advice on this?

Not the best way to go too much heat generated into a large area of frame anealing the metal and hard to control the results. I would use mig at very least and tig is much preferred. Welding on a frame is not the place to learn, practice on scrap until perfect then take a course to find out what you don't know. We weld scrap together and call it yard art sells good and supports our bike hobbies
