I got a 1978 Yamaha XS650 with a hi flo petcock on a sporty tank and i dont know what to do with the vacuum hoses that hook up to the back of the factory petcock. I was wondering if i could put a cap on them and just leave them there or if i need them for my carbs. Thanks

the air barbs on the intake manifold must be capped off if you are not using a vacuum petcock otherwise you will run way lean, you can get some vacuum plugs at a auto parts store, the air barbs are also used to balance your carbs so don't permanently block them
