Guys,

Calling on the experienced again Smile

I plan to use a small AGM / Gel Cell battery.

I ditched the old rotten battery box ages ago..

Has anyone made one, how did you do it?

Did you use antivibe mounts or ?

I've got some ideas, but electric safety and antivibe are a problem.

I dont know how much vibration is a problem with AGM / Gel Cel batteries perhaps less, but still a problem?

Again..advice gratefully recieved.

I had to custom make mine due to the lack of room with the lowered seat height & smaller battery. I just made it out of 3/4" x 1/8" angle iron welded into the frame. Which also served as a base to mount my custom sidecovers and electrical system parts.

I am in the process of building one now. I don't know how it would work in a stock frame though. I made a box that fits around the battery with no top or bottom, like a wrap. then on the bottom I weld some small angle iron, about 1", in three spots. I then welded some hooks on the top so I can use the stock rubber strap. The angle iron will be used to bolt it to the frame. I have some pictures I can post in a couple days. If you want a stock battery box I have my old one which I will never use.
