any input or opinions?

Best Ive ever used are Triumph '63-'70 'teardrops' or BSA A65 or A10
See pic of mine with tri silencers(mufflers0 & pattern 1 1/2" downpipes(headers)
No restrictions, sounds deep & sooo good....

I've read some bad reports on the Ascots. Apparently, they don't fit well at all and take some major foolin' with to get mounted correctly.

I have the "Commando" mufflers and really like them. They fit reasonably well and seal much better at the headpipe junction than the 3-reducer type Dunstall replicas I was running. They come with an allen bolt plug for the rear baffle plate so you have your choice of 2 sound levels. I think they sound great either way but opted to run the plug. It doesn't quiet them a whole lot but takes the rough edge and raspiness away. I was able to go up another size on my mains so they obviously flow better than my old mufflers.

As with any of these sliding bracket type universal mufflers, I recommend using the "Goran" method of mounting at the rear. Those bolt heads in the sliding track pull out in no time, especially on these vibrating 650s. Look under "Exhaust System" .....

Yeah I agree that the Norton 'peashooters' look & sound great!
Trouble is over here the price - about £100 each !
Also difficult to get them in 1 1/2" in the UK inlet as they all seem to be 1 3/8" ...no good for xs headers whih need to be at least 1 1/2" dia.
