I have a 71 XS1 and the manual says I have Mikuni BS38 carburetors. Thanks to the kind posters in the Vault I found a great Mikuni manual but no mention of the BS38. Does it have another name?

No. I thought testing the engine was a test of the valves. What is the process you suggest? Thank you: I sincerely appreciate your advice.
