yea i seen it was a cheap fix, i mainly posted because i was unsure how it would have happend, And like highspeed said i could have been a mod from the PO

I took the the rod out of my other bike ...

So i picked up a 76 with 29 on it for $300, I got it running and have a tick, now i took off the side cover to find this, what do you think the cause could be?

i considered the bikes indian Larry built to be choppers, and many didnt have rakes, i could be wrong but i THINK you statement is off...

Did you find a good source for bearing to mount the harley frontend? what all was needed?
